Chip and Pin
Integrated chip and pin is now available to all retail customers with a broadband connection.
eTill chip and pin provides a pin pad and all the software required for processing card payments over the internet. By removing the need for a a standalone PDQ machine, which often requires a telephone line and rolls, our chip and pin solution cuts operating costs and reduces operator error.

Windows 7 RTM
Mark your calendars, Microsoft Windows 7 will be released on Thursday 22nd October 2009.
Microsoft will deliver Release to Manufacturing (RTM) code to partners in the second half of July. Windows 7 will become generally available on October. 22, 2009.

Windows Vista SP2
Microsoft released the second service pack for Windows Vista.
You can download the 32bit version and a 64bit version here.
Note service pack one is requred before installing.
Apple Mac Support
Yesterday we successfully installed our back office software onto a Apple Macintosh.
The software in running on a Parallels virtual machine with Microsoft Windows XP installed.
Although we do not currently officially support Macs, it is good to know our software can be used by customers who own a Mac.
Hosting Upgrade
Today a number of our customers reported website problems, after our hosting server was upgraded. This post aims to explain the reasons why our customers are experiencing these issues.
During the last week of November 2008, I noticed that almost all of our hosted websites where nearing there allocated bandwidth. Our server bandwidth is split up between customers, but as the number of hosted sites has grown, we had reached the limits of our current server.
To prevent all of our sites passing there bandwidth limits and being unavailable, in the early hours of Monday morning all of our website where migrated to a new server.
Unfortunately there was no time to notify customers before the upgrade was carried out. I apologise for any inconvince caused, but we are working to rectify all reported issues.
UK VAT Rate Change
From the 1st December 2008, the standard rate of VAT will be reduced to 15%. The measure was announced by the Chancellor on Monday 24th November 2008, in his pre-budget statement.
All Fashione customers will need to reduce the VAT rate using the parameters module, before Monday morning. If you need any assistance, please contact our support team.

UltraVNC 1.0.5 Released
UltraVNC 1.0.5 has been released with Windows Vista support.
UltraVNC is a powerful, easy to use and free software that can display the screen of another computer (via internet or network) on your own screen. The program allows you to use your mouse and keyboard to control the other PC remotely. It means that you can work on a remote computer, as if you were sitting in front of it, right from your current location. If you provide computer support, you can quickly access your customer’s computers from anywhere in the world and resolve helpdesk issues remotely ! With addons like SingleClick your customers don’t even have to pre-install software or execute complex procedures to get remote helpdesk support.
We use UltraVNC to remotely support our customers over the internet.
3000 Support Tickets
Today we passed 3000 tickets on our on-line call logging system!
Each support call or email we receive is recorded, so we can track any problems our customers are experiencing.
We also use the support system to calculate support charges, for customers on the pay as you go support plan.

Calculate Percentage Profit Margin
PerProfit = (Profit / BeforeVAT) * 100

PerProfit = 41.25%
