Goodbye Windows 2000
On 13th July 2010, Microsoft will no longer provide support for Windows 2000.
From today we will no longer testing or supporting our software with Windows 2000. We recommend all customers using Windows 2000 upgrade to Windows XP or later.
Our software currently supports Windows XP and Windows Vista. Some customers are using Windows 7, but we recommend Vista until full testing has been completed.

Website Speed
Today I dramatically improved the load time of our eTill website after finding a bug in the PHP code.
We where using the getimagesize function, but passing a full URL instead of a relative file name. Each time the function was called, the server had to download the image instead of looking on the local drive.

Retail EPOS Website
A few days ago we launched the website for our new retail EPOS software, eTill.
We are tried a few different product names for the retail till software, before settling on eTill. The letter e signifies once of the key features of the new package, simple e-commerce website integration.
The original name for our new retail software was reTill and we may use this name again in the future.

Retail Software Preview
Following the continued success of our Fashion stock control and EPOS software, over the the past few months we have been developing a new package for general retailers.
The new retail package will be aimed at general retailers and wholesalers, who do not require a style, colour and size matrix for there products.
I am currently working on a new streamlined point of sale, which aims to reduce transaction time by removing unnecessary steps from the process.
